_Ahhhh…. the holidays. Many are faced with challenging “family together time.” So let’s think about relationships that you, yourself have complete control over; the one between your stomach and your bottom. One of my students, Kathy Sullivan and I, have come to term this as “healthy co-dependancy.” These two areas have to work together to create a strong healthy body. Yes, it’s hard to re-train these friends to get it together and work in sync. But when those sparks start flying, slowly but surely, other areas realize they can let go (i.e. hip flexors and neck). So during any possible holiday “drama,” you can quietly sip on your favorite festive beverage and focus on this dynamic duo to keep yourself strong, healthy, and sane.
Happy Holidays all!!

_Why wait? Yes, it’s that crazy time of the year. Holiday gatherings and delicious temptations wherever you look. Stressful gift buying and family “togetherness.” Take a second and breathe. Focus on you and your body. Even if you’re whipping through a department store or chatting at your office Christmas party assess your posture. Are you carrying packages evenly on both sides? Are you lifted up and forward as you race from one event to another? How about your most fabulous Pilates stance as you chat with the neighbors at the holiday party? You’ll feel better physically (not to mention look smashing in your holiday attire) and feel more energized. So don’t wait for January 1st- start today!
