Our Philosophy
We are dedicated to teaching this system of exercise as it was originally developed by Joseph Pilates. Encouraging the mind and body to work together puts us on the path to acheiving overall wellness.
Strengthen Stretch Control
The term Powerhouse is one that you will hear numerous times. It refers to your entire abdominal region, lower back and buttocks. By initiating your movements from your Powerhouse, you are working the body in the most efficient manner possible. You engage several muscle groups at the same time- stretching one group while strengthening another. This allows for maximum benefits without countless repetitions. Pilates also addresses muscular imbalances. We encourage the body to work evenly on both sides and strengthen weak areas and/or sides of the body. Strengthening and stretching through control.
Who can do Pilates?
You! Anyone can do Pilates. Our clients range from people suffering from chronic pain and illness to professional dancers and triathaletes. We offer both private lessons and group mat classes to safely challenge each student.
