                                          _Restorative Yoga is a gentle and nourishing practice that uses several props to support the body in restful, still positions. The poses are sustained longer than those practiced in more active yoga classes in order to induce the relaxation response, scientifically known as the parasympathetic nervous system. When activated, the relaxation response naturally calms the body and mind by relaxing muscular tension, relieving stress, and restoring the internal systems of the body, resulting in more energy and mental clarity.
